
The Dha Chi is a hybrid sword style. The blade is 28.5" and 1.375" at its widest point tapering to 1.25". It was forged from 1095 high carbon steel and selectively harden. It has been polished to show the saka choji hamon. The blade is in good polish. The blade and the tsuba were made by Don Fogg. The tsuba is forged wrought iron with textured finish and highlights of granulated 24k gold beads.
The blade was mounted by Wally Hostetter San Mateo, FL. The lacquered saya features ribbed pattern, with red ishime lacquer. The iron tip is called a kojiri and was used to reinforce the saya. The seppa on either side of the guard are key frett design and have been gold plated. The tsuka or handle is black silk ito over red laquered same ray skin. The fittings on the handle carry on the texture like on the saya. The menukis under the wrap are called water dragons no scales. The habaki is two pieced silver plate and shakado.
