Ivory Yakuza Bowie
This is an elegant blade that combines the styles of both the Japanese blades and the modern American Bowie. Based on a design by Craig Bird this is a new series of knife that I am developing. The blade is hand forged from 1095 high carbon steel and it has been selectively hardened and polished to reveal a beautiful hamon. The ferrule on the blade has been carved and leads into a Damascus tsuba or guard. The handle ferrule is copper and the handle itself is fossilized walrus ivory. The butt cap is Damascus. The handle is inset with my 24k gold cherry blossom logo. The blade length is almost 12 inches with an overall length of 17 inches.

This a major piece. It feels nice in the hand and is truly handsome.
